CAREGIVER ROLES & RATES

We believe that every family deserves the best care for their child. Because of this, we make sure that all of our caregivers are highly qualified. All of our nannies and attendants are CPR & First Aid Certified and have at least 3 years of related experience.
Some of our nannies have degrees in child development, others are Registered Behavior Technicians or Certified Nurse Assistants; some are Certified Teachers, some are bilingual, and some have decades of experience in their field.
We make sure that the caregivers that we present to you have the specific qualifications and skill sets needed to work with your individual child and family as a whole.

  • Nannies provide professional, in-home childcare tailored to each family. In addition to high-quality care, nannies often prepare meals for the children, handle transportation to and from activities, and manage child-related household tasks.

Rates vary depending on the nanny’s qualifications, the number and ages of children, and job responsibilities.

All Thrive Nannies have at least 3 years of childcare experience and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting rate: $23/hour

Nanny rates vary based on their qualifications, the number and ages of the children requiring care, and other responsibilities of the job.

All Thrive Nannies have a minimum of 3 years of childcare experience and have training in CPR and First Aid. Many of our nannies possess additional certifications and experience. We recommend a starting rate of $23/hour for a traditional Nanny.

  • Special Needs Nannies offer the same core childcare as a traditional nanny, but with added experience and skills to support children with special needs.

These caregivers may have backgrounds as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), or extensive experience in special education settings. We take care to match each nanny’s unique skill set with the needs of the family and child.

Rates vary depending on qualifications, the child’s needs, and scope of the role.

All Thrive Special Needs Nannies have a minimum of 3 years of childcare experience including special needs experience, and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting rate: $25/hour

  • Special Needs Attendants perform similar duties to Special Needs Nannies, but specialize in working with adults who have disabilities or support needs.

These roles often involve a mix of personal care, behavioral support, transportation, and life skills coaching.

Rates vary based on qualifications, needs of the individual, and household responsibilities.

All Thrive Attendants have a minimum of 3 years of caregiving experience, including adults with special needs experience, and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting rate: $25/hour

  • Educator Nannies provide structured educational support in addition to care. They may help with virtual learning, supplement an existing curriculum, or design a personalized one based on the family’s needs.

Educator Nannies have teaching experience or training; if they are the child’s primary instructor, they are certified teachers.

Rates vary depending on qualifications, number and ages of children, and the educational scope of the role.

All Thrive Educator Nannies have at least 3 years of childcare, teaching, or tutoring experience, and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting rate: $28/hour

  • Household Manager Nanny

Some families need more than childcare—they need help running the household, too. Household Manager Nannies combine high-quality childcare with non-child-related tasks such as errands, meal planning, vendor coordination, and home organization.

Rates vary based on the scope of household duties, caregiver experience, and number/ages of children.

All Thrive Household Manager Nannies have at least 3 years of caregiving experience, and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting rate: $25/hour

  • Nanny Share

A Nanny Share is a cost-effective option for two families to share one nanny—often with children close in age. This arrangement offers high-quality care with built-in social time for the children.

Typically, each family pays two-thirds of the nanny’s regular rate, and families work together to decide where care takes place.

Rates vary based on caregiver qualifications and job scope.

All Thrive Nannies in a share have at least 3 years of childcare experience, and current CPR/First Aid training.

    Recommended starting base rate: $23/hour

    In a Nanny Share:

    • Each family pays: $15.33/hour

    • Nanny receives: $30.66/hour
